Client Overview:
Vernovis is partnering with an industry-leading energy and utilities organization to identify an experienced Security Architect. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s enterprise security strategy, developing long-term security architecture roadmaps, and ensuring secure technology solutions across a complex enterprise environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and execute enterprise Security Architecture strategy, vision, and multi-year capability roadmaps.
- Lead architecture initiatives across identity management, authentication, authorization, threat and vulnerability management, governance, risk, compliance, and data protection.
- Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture standards, frameworks, governance models, and best practices.
- Partner with infrastructure, application development, operations, and business leaders to design secure technology solutions and future-state architectures.
- Provide architectural leadership for cybersecurity initiatives including incident response, SCADA and operational technology security, and enterprise risk management.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies, analyze industry trends, and recommend strategic investments that strengthen the organization’s security posture.
What Experience You’ll Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology with significant experience in Security Architecture or Enterprise Security.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security architecture, identity and access management, governance, risk management, and security best practices.
- Experience developing future-state architecture strategies and technology roadmaps while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, influence, and relationship-building skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions.
What Experience is Nice to Have:
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, or comparable credentials.
- Experience within the energy or utilities industry, including familiarity with NERC CIP, FERC, NIST, or other regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with ITIL, business process transformation, legacy modernization, cloud architecture, or enterprise service provider management.
