Director of IT Project Management

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a Director of IT Project Management to lead enterprise technology initiatives including ERP implementations, application integrations, system deployments, and acquisition-related projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate can do more than manage project plans and RAID logs — they have the technical knowledge and implementation experience to actively help drive projects forward, remove roadblocks, and work directly with IT and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise IT projects, including ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, and system deployments.
  • Actively participate in implementation activities including requirements, testing, issue resolution, cutover, and post-go-live support.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, and desired outcomes.
  • Lead IT integration activities related to acquisitions, including data migration and system consolidation.
  • Manage external vendors and implementation partners to ensure delivery against scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Establish effective project governance, Agile processes, and delivery standards.
  • Develop executive reporting and dashboards to communicate project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Reduce reliance on third-party project management resources by strengthening internal project execution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to IT project teams and application specialists.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of IT project management, program management, or technology leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale ERP implementations; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integrations, and technology implementations.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with acquisition integrations, data migrations, and system consolidations.
  • Strong vendor management and communication skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, distribution, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience with supply chain, warehouse management, and procurement systems.
  • Strong executive communication skills.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
