Client Overview:
Vernovis is partnering with an established and growing industrial manufacturer in Cincinnati. They are looking to add a accounting leader with the expectation of this person growing in a controller in the next 2-3 years.

What You'll Do:
- Lead a small accounting team while also being a hands on accountant
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring financial records are accurate and complete.
- Process journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Reconcile and balance monthly transactions with corporate/home office and intercompany entities
- Collaborate with departments such as procurement, production, and sales to collect financial data and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
- Assist in internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation, addressing inquiries, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Support audit preparations and assist in the creation of PBC schedules as necessary.
What Experience You'll Have:
- Bachelor’s in accounting/finance
- 10+ years of accounting experience in a public traded company or in public accounting
- Experience with internal controls and working in a SOX environment
- Ability to travel once per quarter to remote manufacturing plant
- Manufacturing experience
- SAP experience
