Job Title: Google Cloud Security Engineer
Location/ Work Structure: Hybrid- Cincinnati, OH
Compensation: 100,000-140,000 annually

Client Overview:
Vernovis is partnering with a company rich in Cincinnati heritage and is known for having very long-term employees. They are building out their IT Security team and looking for candidates with deep understanding of GCP and some previous design experience. This high-profile position will act as the SME and often be the conduit between IT and the business.
What You'll Do:
- Must have CGP Certification mid-level or better
- Architecture is top
- Security Engineer preferred for Greg
- Will need to stand tall in meetings as liaison between business and IT discussing GCP strategy and brainstorming ideas
- Collaborate with internal security team and external consultants to design, build, and implement security measures and policies
- Research and engineer enhancements to mitigate control gaps
- Present proposed solutions, including the how it will look and what it will require, to leadership
- Assist with on-call rotation for security incident response
- Continue professional development in updates to the GCP and new security technology, risks and compliance
What You'll Have:
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT area, preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security
- Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of networking and infrastructure best practices
- Ability to act as the primary SME for Cloud Security
- Strong working knowledge of the CSF Framework
- Strong working knowledge of GCP, GCVE required; Azure preferred
What Is Nice To Have:
- Industry certifications (e.g., GCP, ACE)
