Vernovis is looking for a Sr. Director of Information Technology that will lead the strategy, selection, development, implementation, adoption, and scaling of our client’s technology solutions while maintaining the highest standards of industry quality and compliance. Successful candidates will be accountable for operational performance, reliability, security, availability as well as our client’s software applications, infrastructure and IT service levels and solution delivery. This individual will support the strategic goals of providing superior services at competitive and sustainable costs while meeting external and internal critical long-term business needs. Individuals must be collaborative with our client’s leadership team, frontline employees, and client base to continuously improve and grow all aspects of their company’s service delivery offering while leveraging their proprietary workflow applications for service line growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead internal cross-department and external resources as needed to impact the ongoing improvement of our clients technology systems, infrastructure, and operational procedures that support clinical service delivery and related workflows.
  • Facilitate operational process evaluation / optimization while directing application development to ensure the successful launch, implementation, adoption, satisfaction, and compliance of technology solutions.
  • Effectively communicate and leverage process-driven approaches to implement our clients best-practice solutions that consistently improve quality of clinical services, ensure superior security and ensure ongoing compliance (federal, state, local, industry, and contractual compliance including peer review, HIPAA regulations, data retention, and industry best practices)
  • Lead regular project meetings with internal and external team members, delegate tasks, and follow up appropriately with clinical applications, systems infrastructure / security, & service desk teams as well as extremal vendors (including contractors & MSPs).
  • Drive continuous review and improvement of integration strategies and tactics.
  • Work directly with the executive management to develop new projects, products and establish priorities.
  • Evaluate and implement strategic solutions that enhance our client’s ability to reliably produce the highest quality clinical services to the physicians and patients it serves (i.e. operational, systems-based, AI, etc.)

What You'll Have:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience (healthcare industry preferred)
  • Proven track record of software development & product / project management experience
  • Must be able to manage complex, dynamic, and demanding operational objectives and project implementations
  • High level of ownership, responsibility, and superb organizational skills to manage multiple in-flight activities and initiatives focused on delivering quality results.
  • Must have strong communication (oral and written), customer service, and analytical skills.
  • The ability to think critically and proactively solve problems with foresight.
  • Familiar with operational process workflows; RIS, PACS, voice recognition, and EHR systems knowledge preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or IT; MBA preferred
